Happy New Year friends and fiends. I for one am ready to live in a less interesting times, but according to our old friend, mystic Baba Vanga, who’s life and prophecies we’ve covered here, we may be facing another year of chaos and turmoil. 

So let’s take a look at Baba Vanga’s predictions for the year, 2024, including one that may have already come true.

Who was Baba Vanga?

A quick recap on the mysterious mystic, Baba Vanga was born Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova on October 3rd 1911 in North Macedonia. 

She lived a fairly ordinary life and was considered a bright and intelligent girl who’s favourite pastime was playing a type of mystic doctor, where she healed her friend’s imaginary illnesses with potions.

That all changed when, at the age of twelve, a tornado swept through her village and whisked her away, leaving her in a nearby field. Her eyes were so full of dust and debris that she was rendered blind for the rest of her life. 

 In her lifetime, Baba Vanga became famous for her healings and mystic abilities, who’s predictions are thought to have foretold events such as the Chernobyl nuclear disaster and the death of Princess Diana. 

Before she died, she left behind a catalog of predictions for decades to come.

So What’s Going to Happen in 2024? 

Buckle your seatbelts, because according to Baba Vanga, we’ve got quite a year to come.

• An assassination attempt on Russian President, Vladimir Putin: Although I’m sure he’d say different, Vladimir Putin hasn’t been very popular for quite some time. After starting a war in Ukraine, leading to the deaths of thousands of innocent people, and the displacement of thousands more, the president’s been met with fierce opposition across the world and within his own country. Well, according to Baba Vanga, Putin will have to watch his back, as she’s predicted an assassination attempt on his life by a “fellow countryman”. Only time will tell. 

• Terrorism and Biological Warfare: Baba Vanga warned of increased terrorist attacks in Europe and a says a “big country” will conduct biological weapon tests or attacks this year. With the current war in Ukraine and the atrocities being carried out by the Israeli Army on Palestinian civilians in Gaza, this prediction does not bode well.

• Economics Crisis: As if the cost of living crisis wasn’t enough, Baba Vanga predicts that the entire global economy will be impacted by the aforementioned political tensions.

• Extreme Weather: Climate change is a big deal. Anyone who denies is it clearly wrong. According to Baba Vanga, we’ll see an increase in natural disasters and extreme weather. With the terrifying earthquake that hit Japan on January the 1st, this prediction seems to already be coming true.

• Cyber Attacks: National security will be threatened by an increase in cyber attacks. The mystic reckoned infrastructure like power grids and water treatment will be targeted.
• Medical Breakthroughs: Finally some good news. Baba Vanga predicted that new medical treatments will be discovered for diseases including Alzheimer’s and cancer. This seems to be in motion already, as scientists have recently discovered a new antibiotic that can kill drug-resistant bacteria.

• Technological Breakthroughs: We’re set to see breakthroughs with quantum computing according to Baba Vanga. I’m not sure what quantum computing is, but it sounds important.
